In 1982, facing a crippling debt, the IWA was forced to lease the Dominion Cinema building to Ealing Council for a term of 99 years as part of a deal in which the Council paid off the IWA’s debt, provided IWA an independent building and a one off £50,000 payment.
The site of the former Dominion Cinema today accommodates the Dominion Community Arts & Cultural Centre and Southall Library.
